Two factors helped them make the long-term cash and technology preservation decision:
- The market for new systems is fragmented, with uncertainty about which companies will survive. The expected cost to upgrade, with such uncertainty, was not worth the meagre benefits.
- Nortel systems are just so reliable, with a “set-and-forget” philosophy, that it really didn’t make sense to upgrade to an essentially similar system that would require extensive Staff and Partner re-training.
By implementing our Voice Message Forwarding software, the last piece of the Productivity puzzle was put into place by their “outside-the-box-thinking” IT Director.
